For Niassa there are several opportunities for you as a tourist. You can stay by the Lake Niassa (with large populations of cichlid fish and sandy beaches) and try to feel the emptiness within the wilderness. Or you go with a local guide through the Niassa Reserve (the largest game reserve in Mozambique that offers spectacular scenery and some unique wildlife features that will be an exciting bush experience well off the beaten track). Either you chose to focus on the province or go to Niassa on your way from Zambia or Malawi further on to the coast with the beaches of Pemba. The region offers a lot that has not yet been discovered by most people.
