| A luxury eco-lodge on snow-white beaches and in its own game park |
The project is built to benefit the local community and protect the local vegetation and wildlife. The lodge is built as far into the African bush as can be, where the tourist has all the opportunity in the world to relax - on the beach or your veranda overlooking the lake - and let the sounds of the wilderness carry your daydreams away. It is possible to snorkel in the clear lake, sail, canoe, bird watch, animal track - or fly a kite and learn local pottery and carpentry skills. The lodge offers adventure expeditions into the wilderness by canoes or on foot. The expeditions cater for all levels of fitness and span from a few hours to 12 days. The Lodges' conservation area, Manda Wilderness, is home to most of the classic African game: lion, leopard, elephant, zebra, buffalo, the rare sable antelope and the endangered African wild dog. Nkwichi lodge has a 24-foot wooden sailing boat (40 hp motor) that can collect guests from different spots on the lake. |
